Author: I ran into this issue while trying to patch ESX hosts. I was able to turn off HA for the cluster and then turn it back on successfully, but it is important to wait for ALL of the ESX Hosts to complete the “Unconfiguring HA” process before enabling HA for the cluster again. This can take several minutes or more minutes on the ESX hosts.
