W32AuthConnectionLaunch: Reply error “Cannot power on the virtual machine. This may be because you are running inside a Terminal Services or Remote Desktop session or are in Fast User Switch Mode.

I received this error after trying run my virtual machine  that I copied my backup file to the freshly installed Win 7. It was running fine on my previous Windows Vista 64-bit. Looking at the error, I can’t see any way that I can disable the Fast User Switch Mode in Win 7.

The solution that worked for me is to run the Vmware Workstation using administrative right by right click and run as administrator.

vCenter Server installation failed with the error below.

Error 25060. Setup failed to execute sqlcmd.exe

Go to Microsoft Download Center to download these files:

1) Microsoft SQL Server Native Client
2) Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Command Line Query Utility

It worked for me

Fuh… I felt so relief to be able to register for this beta exam. I missed out on the last beta exam 71-659 because I didn’t check my email for during the Thanksgiving week.

I will start looking for study material tonight and start studying.

Details: The server closed the connection. (The underlying connection was closed. The connection was closed unexpectedly)

That means the all the services have yet to load completely. Please wait a while until all the services have been loaded successfully. This usually happens when you just powered on your ESX server and you tried to manage remotely through vSphere Client.
